IR & ESOPs For Startups
Investor Relations & ESOPs For Startups
In a Startup, It’s very easy for investor relations to slip down the list of competing priorities. Investors don’t like to be surprised. The best way to maintain goodwill with them is to communicate early and often. After all, you may need to go back to them for another round of funding.
When you’re a big company, you’ve got a department for everything. When you’re a small company, you are the department of everything.Even if the IR program is modest and informal, business owners should consider creating an IR program that regularly communicates with investors as well as develops and strengthens the relationships that can support the company’s short-term and long-term growth. If started prior or at the same time of incorporation filing, owners will be able to build valuable connections that can result in a stronger foundation and company vision.
ESOPs are crucial assets tools to reward employees and retain them by providing sense of ownership. They are probably the most valuable contribution that Startups make to the lives of employees who suffer low salaries and long hours while working in new Companies. As an entrepreneur you should know, What are Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPs)? Importance of Employee Stock Option Plans? Whom to issue ESPOs? How to issue ESPOs? What are the Cost & Criteria to issue Employee Stock Option Plans? Benefits of ESOPs and Dos and Dont’s?
